Can this be done with VE PRO? I would love to automate specific vienna instruments panning from my DP:s midi tracks and midi controllers. For instance in some pieces I would like the two harps to be in the center, while in some cases I would like the first one on the right and the second one on the left.

MIDI panning doesn't work with Vienna Instruments by design. With VE Pro 5, however, it will be possible to do proper panning via automation.

You could always automate the audio return in your DAW.

Yes I could, but I have 300+ midi tracks and 15 return tracks, so for instance Harp 1 and 2 are on the same return.

Well, I can't really help you except to say that MIDI panning for stereo tracks is not a good idea anyway, as it doesn't pan the tracks properly. All it is is a balance panner, so even if it was possible, doing it the way you want to would not be a good idea.
