    I made sure I had the latest elicenser first and then downloaded VEPRO5. When I run the programme it says there is no licence. I have done mainenance on the licenser. I managed to download and run VI2 with no problem.

    Any ideas?

    Actually I am very confused.

    In my user area, under Vepro5 all I see is the download for the manual. There is no sogtware

    Under the Mir tab there is "Vienna Ensemble Pro5/Mir pro" software. I assumed that was the VEPro5 and downloaded and installed it.

    When I go to all programmes there is a folder for Vienna ensemble and in that folder if I open VE (64 bit) I'm told I don't have a licenece.

    My elicencer tells me I have a licence for VEpro4

    Dear Dave, go to Products and get an upgrade of VE PRO 4 to 5. If you own VE Pro you have to pay nothing for it. After purchase you get the activation codes and you can install the new VE PRO 5 licenses on your elicenser. I think the "Vienna Ensemble Pro5/MIR Pro" tab is a hint only that MIR Pro requires VE PRO 5 and doesn't run without VE PRO anymore. Best Frank

    Hi everybody,

    There is an upgrade price from VE PRO 4 to VE PRO 5, here are the details. It is NOT a free upgrade.

    Regarding MIR PRO: It is now installed WITH VE PRO 5, you can (and should!) check it out with a free demo license for MIR PRO (click "try"), then download and install the Trial Roompack.

    All documentation on Vienna MIR PRO is available here.

    Is there a way with VE PRO5 to interface a Sequencer to a rewire host like Reason across the network?

    Of course it's not, but for VE PRO a n d MIR User until 15. Dec. it is, right? In assumption Dave owns MIR I told him so.

     Hello,

    I purchased VE PRO 4 on 10/17/11...so I would have to pay the upgrade price to VE PRO 5?!

    PS: If I would have known that, I woudl have waited for the newer version.

    Please advise. Thank you.

    Hello,

    I bought VE4 on 15th November - just 5 days ago.

    Is there a free upgrade to VE5 for me? It seems awfully unfair to ask me to pay extra for it. I'm a music student and I'm already struggling financially.

    Most companies have a grace period of maybe a month for new users. Even if it was only 1 week it would seem reasonable - especially considering the code for VE5 was clearly all but finished when I bought VE4.

    Please say yes.

    Hello everybody, 

    VE PRO 5 has a higher price tag than VE PRO 4 (IĀ“m sure you have noticed). There is an introductory upgrade price that is the same for all VE PRO 4 users. This upgrade price is valid until December 15th.

    Darren, please donĀ“t get this wrong, but you have ordered on the 15th of November, the last day of the student discounts special offer, and received the student discount...  So you have saved in any case. VE PRO 4 is still a great product!

    VE Pro doesn't support Rewire at this point. It's uncertain whether Rewire support will ever be added. You can of course still use whatever Rewire facilities your master host supplies in combination with VE Pro.

    Actually, this is not correct. MIRacle is an algorithmic reverb which is provided with MIR Pro. It does however run in VE Pro 5 exclusively [:P]

    I upgraded to VE PRO 5 and cannot seem to find the *vsldownload file for Epic Orchestra. I don't see it when I go to the Epic Orchestra downloads page.

    Hello Michael, 

    ThatĀ“s because you never had a license for the Epic Orchestra.... You started with Vienna Ensemble 3 in 2009, which didnĀ“t include Epic Orchestra, and decided not to upgrade when Epic Orchestra was offered for a fee in the introductory period of VE PRO.

    I would like to uninstall VE Pro 4 on a Mac Pro (OS 10.6.8) before installing VE Pro 5. How does one do that? Is there an uninstaller.... or if files must be removed manually, which files should be deleted? I looked for an FAQ on this, but didn't see one. Cheers...........frank

    There is a Vienna Ensemble Pro Uninstaller in the Vienna Ensemble Pro applications folder.
