  • VE PRO 5 = LEMON

     Speak your minds

  •  Man I have never seen such a screwed up software  The directions in the quick start just are sooooo  vague

Yeah so I need a road map to start up ,... never mind that I am new ,.... instead of sporting your attitudes,...why don't you sport some real help for people instead of double talking them ...

  • I got 2 words for ya...user error

  • Well we are very happy with VSL EP5. We have 3 studios running with cubase and DP. I personally have 1 x Mac Pro 8 core + 3 x 17 PC slaves running 96 channels of server audio running and VSLEP hosting Kontakt 5, Play 3, Vienna Instruments, Spaces and it all runs great. We have had problems with stability in Logic and to use to it its full it does consume more CPU but the pay off is huge number of physical outputs from the servers giving me much more control and massively improved audio quality compared to ADAT (RME 9652s and MOTU 2408s). Like everything else it means adapting your workflow to get hte best out of it and work with its strengths.  I think if you have a system which is already near maxing out the cpu VSL5 might just push it over the edge but for such a major upgrade in the software I think this has gone as well as anybody could have hoped.

    VS PR 5 = HAPPINESS

If you actually asked a question about what you are finding difficult to understand, then maybe one of the many users could help you get your issue resolved.

Nobody can help you if you don't actually state what your problems are, VE Pro5 works perfectly, if it doesn't - it's either an underpowered computer or user error.

  • Why don't you provide us with your system specs, the problem(s) you are experiencing, what you're trying to do, how you are trying to do it, and perhaps someone here can help you. There are many knowledgeable, experienced, and helpful users here. VSL has an outstanding and sympathetic support team as well. You should contact them and I'm sure they will be of great assistance. If you are asking for a refund, contact VSL sales and spare the forum of your threats; you won't get anywhere the way you are going. VEP 5 works perfectly well but for a few bugs, which they are presently fixing. As always, they will provide an update in a timely fashion.
