  • Thank you Paul, at VSL

I very recently made use of the special Xmas offers of free extended libraries, providing certain spending thresholds are reached. These offers are avaliable until the end of January, and some incredible savings can be made. I now count myself lucky to  own both the Chamber and Solo String bundles, with two extended libraries thrown in for nothing: this represents an enormous improvement over the Special Edition stringed instruments, good though these undoubtadly are. I would encourage anyone thinking of upgrading to look very carefully at what is on offer over the next 2 weeks or so.

But the reason I'm writing has nothing to do with acting like an upaid salesman for VSL (!), but all to do with paying a well deserved compliment to Paul Steinbauer, who responded magnificantly to some problems I was having in  getting these new libraries up and running - more to do with my incompetance than anything else. Though busy on business in the USA, he made the time (at an hour approaching mid-night) to get me on to www.teamview.com, which allowed him temporary access to my computer. I was then able to sit back, while the cursor on my Mac flew around like a thing possessed, until, after just a few minutes, the libraries I had installed miraculously appeared.

I have often been slightly puzzled as to why VSL inspires such loyalty amongst its followers. I think I'm closer now to an understanding !

Thank you, Paul, and all at VSL

It´s nice to see how fast you on VSL can response. If you want too.

    Don´t get me wrong.
Of course you deserve the compliment for your products and for the all year discounts.
I do like the vsl products and although the fast response on mails on special problems but your behaviour on this and this and this is embarrassing.

How long will this ostrich-like way going on?

    regards

    Torsten

  • Let's just make this a Paul S. appreciation day, shall we. I've been meaning to publicly mention how impressive his presentation I recently attended at West LA Music was (probably preceding his response to you a few hours later). Paul was fieding incessant barrage of questions, requests and comments from a packed room with a smile on his face and genuine interest and willingness to go the extra mile, give the answer, try out various scenarios thrown from the room. Paul, I've been watching you do these for many years now, and you're starting to bring the whole thing to an artform ;) Compliments!
