VE PRO 5.0.10370 Update is now online
-
There are no hickups compared to VE Pro 4. There are just some limitations when using the Audio/Event Input plugins. Using VE Pro 5 in the same way as VE Pro 4 is still possible without issues.
Changelog for 5.0.10370:
• MIR Pro 24 is implemented (needs MIR PRO 24 license)
• Fixed MIR crash when host buffersize is changed upwards
• Fixed MIR impulses not always updating when modifying the output format
• Fixed crashes on undo of channel deletion
• Fixed superfluous usage of demo starts
• Removed warning dialogs popping up when MIR RoomPack licenses are missing
• Added surround to surround channel configuration to Surround Pan for passing through of C/LFE
• OS X/Logic: Fixed first MIDI note of a region not always playing in Logic
• OS X: Fixed potential crash and incorrect behavior of MIR radiation filters
• OS X: Fixed crash on launch when a MIR RoomPack license is missing
• OS X: Fixed slow reaction time of networked transport play/stop in hosts other than Pro Tools
• WIN: Added support for VST shell plug-ins and WaveShell in particular
• WIN: Fixed crashes when loading certain 32-bit VST plug-ins

Could I resubmit my one complaint -- I still can't get channels 7-12 (or 13-18, 19-24, 25-30) into Pro Tools using a Vienna Ensemble Pro Surround insert. If I create a new 5.1 Aux, for the input select "plug in" and go to "Vienna Ensemble Pro Surround - Aux 1 - insert a" then I can see the other outs of the Vienna Ensemble but I cannot select them.
That's my only complaint. Maybe one suggestion -- could there be a master midi Panic Switch for stuck notes? Now I have to track down the Plugin causing the problem. I guess "Start / Stop Audio Engine" button would work, but that seems a little drastic.
Thank you for the great software.
