  • Opening VE5 as VST in Sonar X1d 64 bit

When I go to launch the 32 or 64 bit VSTs, it wants a "slave address". How do I find this number on my computer? Thanks.

  •  Please give more details of your set-up. How many slaves, is your network working correctly for file sharing etc.?

    Hi richiedoc,

You need to start the VE PRO SERVER (32 and/or 64 bit), so that the SERVER INTERFACE (the plug-in you insert in your sequencer) can connect to it.

The manual will also help you.

    Best,

  • Got it. I don't know how you guys pulled this off, but your software is pure genius. Thanks. I only have the one computer, so the server thing was a bit confusing - DG - let me guess you have 3 computers with 16 gigs of RAM each all on one server - that equals 48 gigs of ram. That's INSANE! :-) Best to you.

  • Wait, I thought Vienna Ensemble Pro doesn't work with Sonar because VE Pro uses the VST3 protocol and Sonar only uses the VST2 protocol - how are you getting them workding together?!

  • there's a VST3 AND a VST2.4 compatible build of the VE Pro plugins...
