I'm a little freaking out by Logic.... The audio part of Logic is not really good in my opinion .
I'm considering to switch to Pro Tools. How's your experience with Pro Tools using VE Pro?
I heard we need to reduce the processing threads in Pro Tools to get VE Pro working correctly and stably?

Thanks!

Works really well for me with PT 10. Didn't have to adjust my threads setting in PT from what it already was at.

It's best to reduce the processing threads in Pro Tools to at most one less than the available cores when working with VE Pro. It tends to improve performance quite significantly.

Karel can you phrase that a bit more simply please, I didn't quite understand you. Are you saying if your DAW has 8 cores then you should set available cores to 7? At the moment i have 8 cores and i've assigned 4 to Pro Tools and 4 to VE Pro. What were you suggesting?

I'm saying that when you have 8 cores, you shouldn't set the processing threads setting in Pro Tools higher than 7. Lower is perfectly fine.
