  • Volume automation in VEPRO and MIR Pro

     VSL Community

I am using an old project that I want to enhance using VEPro and MIR Pro.  Sending audio tracks to VE Pro using audio input plugin and also inserting Input I/O and bypassing as per instruction manual.  My question is the audio tracks in logic have volume automation data that affects the volume level.  This does not seem to have any affect once the sound is being processed by MIR.  How do you automate volume level in VEPro and MIR Pro?

  • Did you try to convert CC7 to CC11, it is working for me

Just add a transformer in Logic Environnement

you have one in the template song

No I have not tried a transformer. Thanks for the tip.

I have encountered another problem with the engine start/stop button.  When i turn it on I do not get any sound coming through.  When I have it off the sound from the audio tracks comes through.  Any idea what is causing this.

I am using 66 audio input tracks in one instance of VE Pro.

  • You may have liked the midi to the AU audio object

Look at the template too, you have a "midi AU" that sends the midi to VSL and you have another AU that receive the audio in Logic.

You must not connect the midi to the " AU that receive the audio in Logic"

  • Hi, I have a question in the same topic, but I cannot find my answer on this forum: How in Logic do you automate the volume of a kontakt instrument hosted in Vienna Pro (VEP 4)??? Caution, I am not talking about the Main output of Kontakt but the volume of a specific channel in Kontakt. Basically in DP I just create an instrument track "Vienna Pro" then create a bunch of midi tracks sending to this instance of vienna and it works !!! Why not in Logic, does it have something to do with the transformer too? Should I take the time to create a transformer CC7 to CC11 in the environment every time I want to use an instance of Vienna in Logic? I would rather not...any ideas? Thanks for any support.
