I'm trying to get VEP5 running on a Windows XP slave. After doing a fresh install and upgrading to Windows XP Sp3, I've installed the latest version of VEP5 and the e-licenser drivers.
However, VEP5 won't run, reporting that various Microsoft dlls are missing. I've been able to install the 2005 and 2008 VC++ redistributable packages, but at least one dll only seems to be provided by the 2010 package - which refuses to install, as it appears that the certificate has expired.
Has anyone got VEP5 working recently on a fresh Windows XP install? How did you get around the "generic trust failure" error when trying to install the VC++ redistributable package?
Thanks.
