  • Using Libraries Directly In a DAW

So I have VEPro and I use it with PT10 - is there a way to use the Vienna Libraries directly in the DAW. I dont see them as a plug in. Is it not possible or did I not install something I should have?

  • you have to install the Vienna Instrument ( or alternatively the VI Pro) and then it the VIenna Instrument will show up as a plugin.

    hope that helps

  • Thanks - I have found VST version that work in Reaper. How about RTAS for PT? Does VSL support RTAS? I am thinking forward to when PT goes 64bit - and I can hopefully go back to only working in the DAW.

    Hi txshonk,

As you have registered VE PRO, here is more information about the features. In short: RTAS is supported. AAX is on the to-do list.

  • Paul - Thanks - I get VEPro to load just fine in PT - what I am wondering is it it possible to use my Special Edition Strings libraries directly in PT with Vienna Instruments - similar to what I can do with the VST version in Reaper? When I look in my PT plug ins I only see the VEPro plugs abd I dont see a VI plug that can pe used to have the librabies used within PT. Does that make sense?

    Hi,

the original Vienna Instruments are not available as RTAS plug-ins. An update for this is in progress.

Vienna Instruments PRO is already available as an RTAS plug-in. Check it out with a free demo license (click "try" on the product page).
