    I don't know that much about ethernet protocol. I have had better luck connecting from a PC VEP slave to a Mac when I use a gigabit switch.

    You would think a direct connection would be better.

    I have a hard time connecting to the second port of a Mac Pro.

    Any and all advice is welcome.

    The gigabit router or switch is the way to go... The thought of hardwiring my Mac's to PC's makes me a bit insecure.
