  • can't get surround to work

    Setup

Mac laptop running latest version of lion

installed latest version of VEP 5

    DAW = Cubase 6.5

Speakers in Studio = 4 - two front and two surround

When I load a surrond plugin in Cubase and then open VEP server everything seems to be ok as in the plug in in Cubase and VEP 5 server say that they are connected in a Quadro configuration.

The problem is that I can NEVER send any sound to the rear speakers???  Yes I have created a 4 channel out in cubase and have it assigned to the VEP 5 plug in and yes the speakers work when tested in other situations.

No matter what I do I can't get sound to all four speakers at the same time as would be normal in a basic surround configuration.

    Any ideas???

I'v tried for several months and can't get it to work

    Thanks,

    arapahoe

  • Hi arapahoe,

Just wondering if you ever got surrond to work with VEPro 5 and if so can you tell me what you did because I'm haveing the same problem. I also use Cubase 6.5.

  • Hi,

Maybe a stupid question: Did you activate the VST outputs in Cubase?

  • Yes I did ,thanks Paul......and there are no stupid questions

  • Hi,

You can always send screenshots that show your settings or also a (small) Cubase project in a zip-file to , so that we can check.

Don´t forget to include your system specs and the version numbers of your used software, and also give us a link to this thread, just so we know.
