Hi Will VSL finally release some new Strings, Brass, Woodwinds, World Instruments, or any other (NEW) libraries in the near future ? Now that the Special Edition deals are out, which is basically a re-packaging/bundling of exisiting content, and also released MIR-Pro, MIR-24, VE-Pro 5, VI-Pro 2, Vienna Suite. I would expect the VSL development team to offer new Sample Libraries, Especially new Orchestral Libraries (Strings / Brass / Woodwinds ), and possibly some non-Orchestral Instruments as well. So far this has not happened. Will it finally happen ? When ? Thanks, Muziksculp

Wasn't Dimension Brass fairly recent? I'm new to VSL so sorry if I'm wrong about that!

Dimension Brass came out January 2011, so it depends if you consider 17 months ago recent or not.......

Just imagine how many samples you can record in 17 monthes and how great this lib has to be ....

Looking at the competition, two years between libraries isn't all that bad, especially considering VSL has already pretty much done the whole orchestra and then-some, and then re-done the brass.

Very interesting for me would be some oriental instruments.:) I already got a library with those from a competitor but compared to VSL, it is much more instable and resource-heavy.

Hopefully VSL will announce something BIG in August  New Generation of VSL Orchestral Libraries. Oh... maybe I'm just hoping for too much. We shall see. Cheers, Muziksculp

By that you probably mean a "WORDbuilder" I guess.  I don't think we will ever see a really convincing one. My guess is there will be new strings ... this year!?

New strings again? Aaw. Unfortunately their strings are not the type of sound that I go for, and I feel that way across the whole selection, from Solo to Appassionata. I don't mean to say that they sound bad, they're just not my style. Having said that, all their other instruments are perfect for me so my vote goes to a non-string-related library!
However...I am imagining what it would be like if they released "Dimension Strings". That would be very cool.
