  • REQUEST: more demos for special edition volume 3 and 4

There is as of writing exactly only ONE demo for each volume, while the other volumes have many.
I think it would benefit VSL (in sale terms), to have more demos up for the latest volumes (3 and 4).

Otherwise potential buyers cannot judge the libraries enough on usability and/or sound design of the contents.
Be sure though that the demos ONLY use the library for which it is made, and NO other libraries at all. OR if you MUST use other libraries along the targeted volume, state so very clearly in the demo popup of the song, which library also is used (e.g. volume 1 and volume 2 plus) and which patches or sounds.

    Just a suggestion :)

    Hi rogiervangemert,

Great idea, why didn´t we think of it!!!

    Honestly, we´re working on it.

Meanwhile, our existing SE Tutorials should help a lot.

The system stays the same for all instruments (same articulations for all instruments in an instrument group), so with a little imagination you can guess what the Appassionata Strings in SE Volume 3 will sound like, if you already know what you can do with Chamber Strings and Orchestral Strings.

But yes, there´s more to come!

Thanks for your patience and understanding!

    Paul

  • Thanks for the reply Paul,

However, i mentioned it because it is for allmost two months these volumes are available, but still one demo for each one.

Maybe it had just escaped the attention (can happen right?) because of other duties.

Btw, the vsl products i have so far sound fabulous and i enjoy it everytime i compose with them :)

Ps i like your new tutorials on the new VI too (clear way of demoing/explaining things).

  • Hi,

Phew, finally someone mentions the videos, I´m relieved. Glad you like them [:)]

Christian Kardeis, who is able to write beautiful demos with a thorough understanding of how the library is supposed to work (and therefore knows what makes sense to show in which musical context) is VERY busy right now, so we´ll have to wait a little more there.

    Best,

    Paul
