  • Suddenly no more wet sound from MIR!

I´ve restarted my computer several times now, but the problem stays: When using MIR I get no wet signal. Here is what I use and did:

I´m using Logic 9 on a mac 10.6.8. I´ve started VE PRO Server, inserted an instrument, replaced the stereo by MIR, loaded a venue, started Logic, inserted a VE connected to the VE PRO and played some notes. Result: Just a dry signal. The sound is placed right or left, but absolute no reverb is played.

When I set MIR to wet solo, there´s no sound at all.

This program is slowly frustrating me!!! I hope, I´m just too dumb to use it.

    Thanks for helping!

  • Check your VE Pro preferences. In the Vienna MIR Pro section there, set the MIR latency to a value that is greater or equal to your buffersize in Logic (the higher the better in terms of CPU use). Zero latency mode will not work properly with Logic at this point. I'll see what I can do to put a notification in the preferences to make this clear.

  • That´s the solution. Thanks a lot! In case you put a notification for other users: Logics buffer size is mesured in samples, so some people might get confused, if they see a higher buffer size than the latency set in VE.

E.g.: My Logic-buffer is set to 1024. But there is a small number below, that is showing, that this equals 47,8 ms.
