    How many Vienna licenses can fit on an eLicenser? I just purchased the Harp library, and when I try to enter the activation code, I am told by the eLicense Control Center that there is no licenser to which this code can be attached.

    "Currently, there is no eLicenser connected to your computer which you can download your license to. Please connect an appropriate USB-eLicenser to your computer."

    It offers me the option of putting it on my Steinber eLicenser, which I do not wish to do. On my VSL licenser I have

    Solo Strings

    Woodwinds I, II, III

    Brass I, II

    Special Brass

    Orchestral Strings I, II

    Percussion

    Saxophones

    Organ

    Flugelhorn

    Vienna Choir

    Vienna Ensemble Pro

    Vienna Instruments Pro

    The VSL licenser shows up fine in the eLicense Control Center.

    Have you run Sync and Maintenance with the eLicenser Control lately?

    Hi Michael,

    I experienced a similar problem a couple of moths ago. After installing the newest e-licenser software everything worked fine again.

    Is all your licensing-software up to date?

    On another hand: I've always wondered how much licenses do really fit onto a vienna key? it would make perfect sense if all available licenses would fit, right?Is that true?

    I think the number of licences that can fit onto the dongle depends on what generation dongle you have. The new ones are at least 100, AFAIK. In any case, using an older dongle makes no sense, because it is then out of warranty.

    I do have the latest version, but I am going to reinstall everything and try again.

    Ok, reinstalling the new elicenser and running the maintenance roution (both for the second time [:(] ) seems to have fixed the problem.

    Why is the warranty / key issue so understated?

    Is it clearly written on the VSL website?

    Does a Steinberg Key carry the same 2 year warranty?

    Too important a point for yours to consistently be the only voice trumpeting this fact.

    I can only speak for myself, so can't answer your question. AFAIK the Steinberg key carries exactly the same warranty, as effectively it is the same key.
