  • Controlling Speed of Runs and Articulations

This may have been answered elsewhere, so my apologies if that is the case. Couldn't immediately find it by searching through the forum.

How can we control the speed of the runs and articulations in the libraries? Even better, is there a way to synchronize the speed to the host DAW's BPM setting?

    Thanks,

    JB

  • You can't sync scales and articulations to the DAW, however, you can use the Time Stretch feature in VI Pro.

    Hi Jurgen,

with VI PRO and the related Library Updates of your collections you get a lot of "contruction kit matrices" with runs, phrases, arpeggios, trills.

These phrases are synced with your host tempo. You can switch on the fly through all keys, and between major and minor harmonic and other scales.

Further you have the option to alter any notes inside the phrases to your needs.

These App sequenzer related videos might be also helpful, which you can find here:

  • That's great, Herb! Thanks for the heads-up. I hadn't updated the library itself, so never saw the V2 matrices and patches.

Now I'm dealing with a different issue in that the matrices and patches from V2 don't load the samples, but I'll dig through the forum and post a separate thread if I can't find the solution.

    Thanks,

    JB

  • Have you enabled the cells?

VI PRO Presets are saved in dissabled mode. You can force enabled loading mode in the instruments option, or enable dedicated cells or matrices with right mouse click context menu.

  • Yup, after watching the videos, it became all clear. Great work on the updated version!

Got my head stuck in too many scoring projects that the new version totally escaped me.

Thanks again for your great support!
