  • VE Pro and Ivory : ( Ivory not being recognised AT all?

    Hi guys,

VE Pro 5.1.11262 and the last version of Ivory 1.72.01 (x64) here.

It seems like VEP is just ignoring Ivory. I have to jbridge it (which is pointless, cos the plugin is native 64-bit) to make it being recognised by VEP. I really want to avoid using jbridge tho, cos it's not reliable at all.

From the forum posts it seemed like this bug had been fixed in the past already?

    Any suggestions anyone?

    Thanks, guys! Best,

    Stefan

  • Hi Stefan,

Did you double-check that you have assigned the right VST plug-in folder for your 64 bit plug-ins?

  • Hi Paul,

yes, I'm positive on that. All plugins are in the same directory, all plugins are recognised - except Ivory : (

  • Hi Stefan,

I'm an Ivory user as well running version 1.72 on Windows 7 and it seems to be working fine here running VE PRO Build 11262 under the 64 bit Server mode.

When I go to add plug-in, Ivory shows up here. Are you certain that your Ivory.dll file is stored where VE PRO is looking? My plug-in is stored under program files/synthogy/vstplugins/ so I added that unique path in the VST Settings window and then did a 'rescan all' to ensure that it found it.

Another possibility is that you are trying this on the Vienna Server 32 bit mode instead of the 64 bit one.

  • Hey Austin and everyone,

thanks for your replies and ideas. I was actually able to resolve the whole thing. I had manually copied the Ivory DLL from C:\Programme\Synthogy\Vstplugins to my one VST folder (C:\VST) where all the other DLLs are. That usually works fine with everything.

Now thanks to you guys I tried pointing VEP to that Synthogy VST folder as well and - behold! - it's been recognised. Cool. Thanks!!
