  • Set up midi controllers for vienna instrument (BCF 2000 and pedals)

Hi, I have a behringher BCF 2000 and i would like to use for control like xfade and expression. As well I have a double pedal control for my keyboard; the first one automatically give me the sustained effect. The other one is not used and i would like to use to switch articulations (in Y) in vienna instrument. I mean i use the keyswitches for the horizontal articuolation but the pedal could be a nice option to move in vertical, instead of the mood wheel.

  • is the pedal hard-wired to a CC, such as often 'expression pedal = CC11'?

it's strictly a matter of knowing what CC it sends to the software and assigning that controller in Vienna Instruments to the vertical dimension, same as with CC1 Modwheel.

  • it's this one. The one on the right it works as a sustain and the one on the left i don't know. it doesn't make any change in the sound. is connected trought the keyboard. I can i figured out? http://www.8thstreet.com/Fatar-VFP-2-10-Dual-Sustain-Pedal-VFP-2-10-Dual-Sustain-Pedal-pc26044.8th

  • do you have a manual for it?

a sus pedal [CC 64] outputs as a switch, on/off so there are only two values that are meaningful in MIDI. Pianos have a damper pedal; if the one that isn't a sustain pedal is to work as a damper pedal does it should have more than one value.  But I don't know. You have to consult the device's documentation.

From my perspective I don't think the damper pedal is a good idea for controlling the dimension. if it is a switch, more than two rows isn't going to be meaningful. I don't recall any CC for damper pedal per se.
