Hi all, im not a frequent user of the forum but have been a loyal fan of VSL for the last 7/8 years.. Im not really a classical musciscian, my roots are in electronic dance music but 99% of my work now is music & sound for tv / film / adverts..
So i wanted to test out MIR as the AU componant without the need of the ensemble pro 5.. that along with the instruments pro 2 upgrade took the budget out of my range, but the adition of MIR as AU has opened it all back up again. i tend to only use ensemble for its initial volume leveling but now i dont feel like i need ensemble anymore as MIR is giving me all the option id usualy use. i also wanted to see what 24 parts sounded like so the mir24 could be an option ( i dont use VSL over a netwerk , just from my main machine )
Anyways ive spent 4 days using MIR demo & thought id share the results with you, its not to complicated, just open sustains in most cases, i tried to feature every section at some point in the 4 mins so new users could understand the range of sounds. i love listenning to the user demos on here but ive yet to find 1 that made me cry. & a good orchestra should :) so see what u think , i know its nothing compaired to some of the arrangments on here, but it does make you 'feel'. i searched on youtube for user demos of mir but could only find the vsl provided ones, so have put this up for others that might be looking for the same sort of visual demo i was last week.
