  • Trumpet C of Brass I does not sound

It is so strange that the trumpet C in my VSL Brass I does not sound. I tried to reinstall the library, but it still does not work. When I try to load the matrix of trumpet C, it takes no time. I think there is no sound samples at all. What can I do to solve the problem ? Thanks.

    Hi,

I see that you have just purchase VI PRO. Could it be that you are loading a VI PRO Preset?

=> This is a FEATURE of VI PRO, it loads VI PRO Presets with disabled cells.

Click on a cell, this will enable it (load the samples in the background).

Right-click on a matrix (in the matrix list to the left), you can "enable" the whole matrix.

In "Settings" (the icon left to the Basic/Advanved View), you can also enable the whole instance and find additional options (like "Force Enabled Cells").

Please see the VI PRO Manual for more information.

and check out the many video tutorials that also explain all the new features in detail.

    Best,

  • I also tried VI instead of VI pro, trumpet C still does not sound. When I load patches or presets for trumpet C, VI or VI pro does not show any error message, and the loading process finishes in no time as if it does not really load samples. Some of the patches does sound, but not all the white keys sound as if some of the samples are missing. PS: I noticed that my version of Brass I is version 2, and I am downloading Brass I version 3 to see if this problem can be solved. But does previous version of Brass I lack in samples for trumpet C ? Any idea ? Thanks.

  • Hi ondine,

You are right, there was a glitch in the first version of the download.... v3 will fix this.

Sorry that I didn´t remember this earlier.
