  • VE PRO 5 GUI problems with Kontakt Action Strings

Native Instruments Action Strings is a fine plug in but in VE Pro the GUI is a complete mess. Unusable. Any Thoughts? Thank, wayne

  • Hi,

Please tell us which OS and software versions you are using.

    Thanks,

  • Same problem here with Action Strings and VEP. I am on OS X Mountain Lion, latest VEP and Kontakt 5 software.

  • Actually it seems to be working here. After connecting slave with master VEP server in a DAW the GUI turns "suddenly" normal and everything seems to work. The GUI problem is just at starting the action strings without any established connection between slave and master.

This is not a VEP bug. This is just the way that Kontakt is designed. Native Instruments has been informed, but so far has chosen not to change anything.

  • Well I hope it would be fixed soon wherever the problem comes from. However I never saw something like that on VEP before. Thanks for a quick reply

  • There is nothing to fix. Native Instruments doesn't seem to  consider it to be a problem. If it bothers you, and for some reason you don't want to connect to a sequencer, just load the standalone and then save the vi-frame.

FWIW, as this problem, or at least a related one, occurs in Kontakt 4 as well, I doubt that anything is going to change any time soon, so I suggest you find a suitable workaround.
