  • The Sea

Hello peoples, It's an old composition, but remixed and remastered with new instruments. A small tribute to the sea... http://schicket.de/8sLc/The_Sea.mp3 Instruments: VSL Opus, NI Kontakt 4, Garritan GPO, EWQL Silver, LASS... Thank you for your listening and feedback in advance. Greetings from Berlin Mark

  • Hi Mark,

I won't "judge" your composition. That is not my duty.

Nevertheless, its title, "The Sea", to me is quite generical.

What I hear is a mix of different intents or aims. At around 03:00 on, for example, I cannot imagine the sea at all, but a french "noir" movie of the late '60s-'70s. And it carries on with tiny "variations" (and, forgive me, some incongruities and repetitions) until the end.

Another example: at 01:48, up to 02:07, I hear a James Bond (Sean Connery times) "atmosphere".

Yet, this is your music, your experiment. And I find all this beautiful.

This is your own creation and, to me, it's agreeable. Just carry on and you'll find your own path, as any of us all. Hopefully.

    All the best,

    Miki
