  • VE Pro bad latency

Hi all, I'm working on a track within Pro Tools10 using VE Pro5 and I'm experiencing bad latency on an Orchestral Cello Matrix. I have quite a high number of VI's and Plug-ins running so I have set the automatic delay compensation to High within PT10. I've tried setting the buffers to 4 on the VE Pro server interface but its still lagging. I need some staccato strings to really drive the tune put it just sound messy and out of time. I have the following set up within the session In Pro Tools BFD2 Drums - Each channel routed separately into the PT10 Mixer EGTR and Bass-With Amplitube X-Gear Altiverb Reverb Channel in VE Pro 2 Instances of Kontakt routed back into Aux channels in Pro Tools 1 VI Pro Instance - Orchestral Cellos+ (with the noticeable latency) Any idea for a fix? Thanks Mac Pro 8 Core PT10.3.2 VE Pro 5.1.1849 Digi 003

  • The higher the VEP buffer, the more latency. What is your soundcard set to in Pro Tools?

So, if you set the VEP buffer to 4, doesn't that mean that you will be working in excess of 1024 samples?
