Is there a subforum or other net forum where one can get advice on how to setup VIPro's features to get to a specific sound? Not for questions about mixing and other effects, just for patch/layering/nobs configuration info.

Edit: Found the beat-kaufmann.com website.

I'm close to pulling my hair out trying to get close to this sound  with the standard libraries.

Do I need the articulations from the full/extended libraries?

Is it from a classical recording? Then you simply should have a look into the score to see what playing techniques are employed. Basically it sounds like pizzicato, but maybe only in celli and basses, violas and violins could play some short bowed notes as well.

Tell us what piece it is and maybe someone who might be familiar with it might know.

You might be able to find a score here if it is a classical piece.
