  • Mixing Workflow

    Dear Community,

after some time spent on the VSL mixing side in my system (see below) I probably found that I cant import Third Party Plugs into VE that I am used to. How can I implemend those into VE?

How would you see the differences (i.e. Processor consumption, Workflow) of mixing setups in VE compared to Logic´s Mixing System (VST, AU etc) in your experience?

I´d like to use parallel compression, aux sends for reverb and eqs in any track to have most flexibility. Thanks for your impressions

    Thank you very much

    Best regards

    Tim

    Hello Tim,

Indeed, Vienna Ensemble "only" allows you to use third party FX plug-ins, not third party virtual instruments.

You should check out VE PRO 5 with a free demo license (click "try"), you´ll be amazed by the options.

Here is a link to the basic videos.

    Best,

    Paul

  • Dear Paul,

Thanks for your answer , I was amazed by the VE5 possibilities with interconnecting computers and software, hope to check out the demo today but had to sleep a bit after some  VSL dawn Sessions. At least its great fun, my Tonsatz Skills get sonic by VSL as I was always interested in writing. I like paper based writing a lot and ever more the use of your technology to really have the opprtunity to listen to compositional ideas. Super!

I also opened a quite similar topic, maybe we can delete this one here ? I think the mixing and technical workflow discussion could be merged into this thread:
