    Hallo everybody!

    In the next few weeks, I will order a new music computer which I will use mainly with Cubase 6 and VSL (VEP,Mir, VIP,Vienna Suite)

    I have found a company that assembles noiseless computers in Germany (www.silentmaxx.de)

    The following configuration I selected for my wortstation:

    Fanless I550S

    intel i7 3770
    Gigabyte GA-H77-D3H  (alternative:GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H)
    4x8gB DDR3 Kingston HyperX
    Radeon ATI 6450 1GB

    I am not really up to date with my computerknoledge these days.

    One of the questions would be if the chipset of the motherboard is the right choice.

    Other than that, I would like to know if there are any probems with my choice of components.

    I wont really do the most heavy orchestrations, but like to work with minimal latency.

    Also, for fxs, I use a lot of Nebula 3 in the mixing stage (they are heavy in the cpu.)

    Any comments, advices etc.  would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

    I don´t know how high your bugdet is, but I think you should invest more money for your purpose into the components so you can use them for years.

    I´m still in the same situation and for example I´m taking this cpu: Intel Core i7-3930K, 6x 3.20GHz

    I am aware that  the processor processor chosen is not the fastest available.

    Still, I consider it appropriate.

    Budget is an issue.

    My question was more about if there are any risks in the hardware combination mentioned.
