  • choosing workstation

    Hi to all

I have tu buy a powerful workstation cause I have to do big orchestral score using possibly MIR and all the VSL products (for the conservatory where I 'm working).

So, since I have  to invest a lot of money not mine,I wanted to ask if here are some expert that can really help me make a choice. What really is needed to do big orchestration.

my budjet is around 10000 euro (vsl excluded)

I love apple, but not sure that money is enough.....

    waiting for your advice....

    Hi Cristian,

Please take a look at these "Certified Workstation" Builders. 😉

    Good luck with your project!

    Best,

    Stefan

  • To give you an idea look at my configuration

I use only the 12 core and my VSL template is 97 VI instruments with all Level II patches loaded and 3 AI  with MIR in 5.1 and 7.1

You must use SSD with VSL

10 000 euro should be enough

    look at this :

    MacBook Pro M3 MAX 128 GB 8TB - 2 x 48" screen --- Logic Pro --- Mir Pro 3D --- Most of the VI libs, a few Synch... libs --- Quite a few Kontakt libs --- CS80 fanatic
  • I found this

    • Due Intel Xeon 6-core a 3,06 GHz (12 core)
    • 64GB (8x8GB)
    • 512GB solid-state drive
    • ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB
    • 9149 EURO
    Hope this will be enough........

  • looks great

add a 64GB ssd for the system so the 512 GB are only for the VSL lib
