    Well... As the title suggests. I need to reproduce an Eb alto clarinet as part of a woodwind choir. I've searched everywhere for a sample library to no avail. I read somewhere that it is possible to mock it with the other clarinets, but which one? And how do you get the proper tone (EQ?). Furthermore, the part itslef requires a G above the staff, so for the bass clarinet is out of range.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    PS: If anybody from Vienna is reading this, are there any plans to sample one of these in the future?

    The basset horn should come closest, it is an alto clarinet in F.

    Thank you MassMover... The basset is part of the "special" woodwinds... Which I don't have. Bummer! But thank you for pointing it out for me. Maybe I can ask my client for an advance....

    Thank you Bill! I had noticed that but a £100 is a bit much for one instrument that's going to be hidden between four other clarinets. Maybe one day when I actually need a SOLO Alto clarient.
