Hey Gang,
Can someone confirm to me that I have to run a new instance of VEP for every 16 midi channels? I was happy on 4 and upgraded to 5 thinking that this midi port issue was worked around... I have wasted 1/2 a day of writing and now my sequences loaded on v4 won't work....for nothing it seems..
Am I out of luck until X2 supports VST 3?
Thanks
Tim

VE Pro 5 includes a workaround for the single MIDI input port limitation of the VST and AU plugin standards. It comes in the form of the VE Pro Event Input plugin. It is described in detail in the manual, but feel free to ask specific questions if anything is not clear there. VE Pro 5 should be perfectly backward compatible with VE Pro 4. What is not working anymore exactly?

Hey Karel,
I will check out the manual and thanks for the reply... If I load a Sonar x2 project that has VEP 4 it crashes and won't let me load. My work around is holding down the shift key and not loading VEP into the project and then deleting the old instance of VEP and creating a new one and re-linking everything... A big pain. Could it be that I installed v5 in a different place and Sonar is being fooled? What is the default location for v4? Maybe if I find it, I can delete. Many thanks!

The VE Pro 5 installer will automatically uninstall any previous version of VE Pro, but perhaps you have moved the VE Pro 4 dll's manually to a different location? In that case you will have to delete them from wherever they were manually copied to.

Hey Karel,
Hmm. I didn't manually move it but it does crash my system. Not sure why...Maybe it's my template? But I did get the Event Input working good! Many thanks for that.
