    Using a new hardrive with all the newset versions of plugins and VE Pro, MIR Pro etc , Lion 10.7, a recent Logic 'song' won't load its instances. The server application doesn't trigger a load. 

    The instances were saved with the song, not saved as separate files manually. I thought they would get loaded as they did on the former hardrive - ie when I open the song, they load up.

    Hi jrm1, 

    I´m not sure what changed in your setup with your new harddrive. 

    Also, did you save your song in decoupled mode?

    As far as I can tell, nothing has changed in my setup. Same Logic, VE Pro software.

    The instances were not preserved.

    I believe Logic is failing to find something that isn't there, the location it knows for the [eg., samples] content you require it to load.

    "The instances were not preserved.". The instances in this case are what Logic knows to look for, which has been replaced. The coincidence of 'this is the same software' does not mean what you want it to, ie. that Logic will communicate with VE Pro itself for the content, it's looking for the connection->the hard drive, isn't it? Think about it.
