  • Two questions about Humanize

    The VI Pro manual has the following interesting item:

    Expert TIP: To assign "random" tuning curves quickly when you're changing the
    tuning of many patches, hold down Ctrl-Alt-Shift and click the "Humanize:" label,
    just to the left of the Humanize Preset box itself. You will then be asked to press a
    key to assign an "in tune random" variation number without going through the
    submenus.

    I've tried this and gotten the pop up menu asking me to press a key from 1 to 8, but it seems to have no effect.

    Second, the Auto Humanize feature likewise seems to have no effect.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks,
    John

    I'm using current versions of VI Pro and VE.

    Hi John in CC;

    Did you adjust the sliders "TUN" (Tuning) and "HMZ" (Humanize) in the "Perform" tab of VI PRO?

    If there are tuning curves assigned to the slot/articulation you are listening to, you should hear the pitch change (depending also on the slider position).

    Additionally, here is a link to the VI PRO Video Tutorials.

    Best,

    Paul
