I know this has been done to death and people say that I will get better results from using Windows over Mac for my slave on VE Pro. Cost is not the issue, performance is, because if I go PC I will just reformat my Mac Pro 1,1 and put Win 7 on it.
Can someone just explain to me the reasons and post any real world experience you may have had between the two (not just someone who has used one or the other and says it's better).
I have been having no problems, really, but I am wondering if I should just install Win 7 and use that as my slave if it's really night and day like some say. I'm about to expand my template big time, so I want to get this out of the way before I do this.
