Lately whenever I try to create a project with VE Pro (before connecting it to my DAW), and load a plugin (any plugin, but here I use a Kontakt sample library), the plugin's interface seems to be broken, and the sound doesn't work. This problem doesn't occur with the plugins standalone.

The presets pane is non-functioning.
After some tests, it seems that this problem doesn't occur if I first open the VE PRO plugin within my DAW FIRST, then load instruments.
However, this behavior seems very strange to me. It prevents me from using the same preserved instance with multiple projects after I close connections, because as soon as I hit connect, the instance of VE Pro is replaced with a new, empty one.
Would anyone share his or her knowledge about this, if it's a bug? If not, then what am I doing incorrectly?
Im using the latest version of VE Pro 5 on Mac OSX 10.6.8, with the latest version of Kontakt 5.

Kontakt as a plugin has to have its audio engine started, ie., connected to VE Pro in this case before all the GUI works, for some reason.

I'm not sure if you understood the situation. When Kontakt is loaded in Vienna Ensemble Pro, the GUI doesn't load fully until Vienna Ensemble Pro is connected to a DAW program. Is this the usual behavior (even if it's an odd one)?
