  • Vienna Imperial interface freezes in VEPro5/MIR24

Hi, I'm working within Sibelius 7 and using Vienna Imperial within VE Pro5/MIR24 as part of a complete orchestra (VI Pro). Quite frequently the screen with the Imperial interface freezes and I cannot switch to other instruments either. But the sounds of all the instruments are still working fine. Needless to say this is not very handy.... Any suggestions?

    Best regards, Heike

  • Hello Heike,

We have not seen this before.

I assume you are using the latest software versions (VE PRO, MIR PRO, IMPERIAL, VI PRO) and of course the latest Windows 7 Service Pack is also installed. Is that correct?

Does this only happen when you see the Imperial interface? Is there a reliable way to reproduce this?

    Any other software involved?

    Best,

    Paul

  • Hi Paul, yes, all the software is up to date. It only happens when I see the Imperial interface. Last year I wrote a symphony and had no problems. Now I'm working on a piano concerto and I'm using Vienna Imperial for the first time within the orchestra. It's not clear to me what triggers the freeze, so I cannot reproduce it on purpose. I'm not using other software, it's just Sibelius 7 and the VSL products.

    Best regards, Heike

  • Hello Heike

I see you use Sibelius 7 with Vienna Imperial and VE Pro -- as I am attempting to do (thus far, unsuccessfully.)  I would greatly appreciate learning how you set up Sibelius' Playback Devices, Imperial's Preferences, and VE Pro's MIDI configuration to get the three programs to work together.  I see nothing in the Imperial Manual or Video that explains clearly how to get the Imperial program to work with Sibelius.

    Many thanks,

    MS
