    hi,

    i just updated all my VI Software and downloaded the new roompacks + extra license. i tried to load a couple of weiler studio presets and got the following error message: "cannot load plugin state saved by the newer version of VIPro"

    i checked multiple times, including restarting my computer, checking licenses etc, but i have the latest version of all the sofware installed. is it just me or have these presets maybe been created with a software version that's not available for download yet?

    here's what i've got currently installed:

    Mir Pro 5.1.12195
    Ensemble Pro 5.1.12195
    Instruments Pro 2.3.12173

    not a huge deal/problem - just wondering.

    Hi gernot,

    Also, the Venue Presets were all made with the standard Vienna Instruments... maybe you didn´t update these?

    If that doesn´t help, please send such a viframe to , with a short reference to this thread.

    EDIT: The Roompack Venues have been released a few months ago, so an older version of VI PRO can´t be the culprit for 2 reasons here....

    hi paul,

    thanks for the quick answer.
    installed the current version of vienna instruments (not pro) again, but it doesn't work. always loads the instruments in vi pro instances, hence the error message (i guess).

    i tried opening a standart vi instancance - works without a problem.

    i'm on a mac pro early 2008, os x 10.8.3

    i've used the unaltered viframes from version 1.4 to laod into ve pro 5 sandalone - tried both 64bit and 32bit versions as well as the 64bit server with cubase 7 as a host.

    Hi gernot, 

    There was a bug just in the previous version of VE PRO that converted VI instances to VI PRO instances (only when you loaded METAFRAMES). This bug is now fixed. 

    Unfortunately VI PRO Presets cannot be loaded in VI instances, so the only way to resolve this is to rebuild the VI instances, I´m afraid (or fetch them from previously saved VE PRO instances or viframes). 

    Does that help? I know it´s not an optimum solution and we´re sorry for this inconvenience.
