  • [SOLVED] Roompack Nag Screen

    Hi

I just upgraded one of my Mir licenses from Mir 24 to Mir Pro.

On launching VE Pro I get a nag screen about the Vienna Konzerthaus roompack being out of date.  I have followed the link, downloaded the new roompack, and installed it into my default Roompack directory (as referenced in Mir Preferences).   I already have the correct license for the new Roompack.

The nag screen still appears every time I launch VE Pro.  any ideas how I can get rid of it?

    Many thanks

    Jules

    Hi Jules,

Simply update your MIR PRO / VE PRO Software and the message will disappear.

You probably still have an older TRIAL RoomPack installed. If you don´t need it, simply erase it.

    Best,

  • Thanks Paul

I have the latest builds installed, so it must be the remnants of an old Roompack.  I'll have another dig around and see if I can get rid of it.

    Thanks again.

  • I haven't been able to fix this issue Paul and it's getting a little annoying.

I moved all my roompacks out of the mir Roompacks folder specified in VE Pro preferences - I still get the nag screen

I created a new empty folder (no roompacks in it at all) and selected that as my Roompacks folder in preferences - I still get the nag screen.

I have two sets of Roompacks on my system (now both hidden from VE Pro in a different folder) - they are the Vienna Konzerthaus roompack version dated 4th June 2013 and the Gateshead Sage roompack dated 2nd May 2013.

Is VE Pro scanning other directories on my system aside from the one specified in 'Preferences' because if it's not, then there's an issue in this build.

I've checked and I'm running the latest build of VE Pro/Mir

    Hi Jules,

As soon as all RoomPacks are up-to-date, you shouldn't get this advice any more. Please send a screenshot of the folder which contains your system's RoomPack data to . On Windows, this is [System Disk]:\ProgramData\VSL\Vienna MIR Pro by default.

    Kind regards,

    /Dietz - Vienna Symphonic Library
  • Thanks Dietz - I've sent you a screengrab.

  • We could resolve this, just in case anybody else having similar troubles:

Please make sure there are no old RoomPack files in this folder: C:\ProgramData\VSL\Vienna MIR Pro

This is the location of the default data which is also checked for roompack files, besides the folder set in MIR Pro Preferences.

    Thanks, Florian
