  • VE Pro 5 windows

I'm having trouble with the window arrangement on VEPro 5 mixer/instances. I'm on Mac OS10.8.4 and VEPro5 is running in Server mode (slaved to another mac). Somehow the Instance and mixer windows got all detached from each other. When I select View/Channels or Mixer, it just brings up another window, but is not longer consolidated into the main Instance window. How do i snap them back in?... thanks!

  • I also have a similar problem where once you disconnect a window, it can no longer be consolidated back together. Also, I lose the view selection tab function as well. Reopening the instance does put everything back into the main window, but I still don't have the view selection tab.

  • From the VE Pro 5 manual, page 25 (Re-arranging Windows):

To undock a window, double-click its title bar or click the small undock button in the upper right corner.

To dock an undocked window again, double-click its title bar.

To re-arrange a docked window (like shown below), simply click and drag its title bar over the main window. Indicators will be displayed when you’re the window over a valid location on the main window.

The Instrument window offers the option to unsnap individual instruments.
The big "unsnap" button in that window lifts that particular instrument's User Interface out of the shared area and makes it a free floating window.
