  • string trio movement

Here is an excerpt from a string trio movement that I thought worth posting.

I'd like to do this again with Dimension Strings once all the sections are available.  I used one of the templates for a quartet in the Schubert hall.

Please give it a listen and let me know your thoughts.

  • The ideas are so strong that they invite a lot more development than is present here. If you work more on this I think you will reach a lot more of the promise of the opening few bars.

The realism however, WOW! There is little more to be done in terms of timing and variation to make it even more human, but the sound of the instruments themselves... I don't know if I have ever heard them more real. I think we are on par with Jay Bacal here with his Beethoven rendition (as far as the realistic timbre and sound are concerned). Congratulations!

  • How's it going Marko? Long time! [:D]

Hahaha. That's great. Always like to hear what you're going to do next Marko.

  • Thank you Errikos. Like most of my pieces this is a work in progress and no doubt it could use a lot more development, but at this point I am saturated.

  • I agreed with that first reply: I think musically there might be some fun things to do with this (I wouldn't have minded listening to two more minutes, even for a single movement). But that said, the realism of the instruments really is excellent. Can I ask what set you were using? I keep wishing I could get my solo quartet to sound like that.
