Hi, 1. Would someone explain in simple terms what a user has to do to integrate MIRX into Vienna Instruments Pro and Vienna ensemble pro 5. 2. Is it available or not? 3. Will the user have to buy additional software? Confused!!! Stephen W. Beatty

Hi Stephen, 1) You need a license for the MIRX Venues (this is the link to the MIRx bundle), and you need to download and install it, so that those are available in VI PRO. 2) Ehm, yes. 3) You need VI PRO to run MIRx. I see that you have already registered MIR PRO and RoomPack 1. Dietz and his team are working on an update which will make all MIRx features available to all MIR PRO users (in the corresponding venues). Best, Paul

Dear Stephen, I think Paul already answered your questions thoroughly. Just to avoid misunderstandings: MIRx and MIR Pro are not the same product. MIRx provides three collections of fixed setups derived from MIR Pro for all of VSL's instruments, and some very clever automatism to handle these presets directly within Vienna Instruments Pro. The upcoming update for MIR Pro will introduce these automatisms and a few other related features and will thus give you access to the original settings I used to create each and every MIRx setup. Mind you: You will get this for MIR Pro - in other words: You won't get "MIRx" as a product, but all of its features and sounds, plus the possibility to adjust them according to your own needs and taste (or to re-use them in different context, like in Venues which are not available for MIRx). ... I hope this is the information you were after. :-) Kind regards,
/Dietz - Vienna Symphonic Library
