Do I need Vienna Instruments Pro to work with Sibelius 7

Im trying to get Vienna Instruments Special edition to work with Sibelius 7.1.3 on OSX Maverick. I have it all setup in Sibelius but when I goto add instruments in Ensemble Pro 5 I click on the Preset>Sibelius> and say Picollo.. I just get Red Boxes.  Do I need Pro? or did it not install right. Am i just an idiot. If I just goto Matix and pic flute will that work?

What is the relation between the names in the Manual SoundSet and the names in the SE Instruments?

Well I got it to work but I used Matrix > Special Edition sounds. Then picked the instrument or well, guessed.

Another question, is there a difference between Active Devices VE Special Edition and VSL Ensemble Special Edition.. Thanks again : )

sorry one more.. is there a difference between picking say Double Bass Ensemble or just Double Bass..ok thats it i promise.. 

Just need to figure out why the red boxes are red (patches from sibelius not loading) why?  sorry that was another question.. dont ever trust a guitar player

Hello liquidvienna!

In order to use the Special Edition with Sibelius, please load the preinstalled Special Edition matrices. The VI presets that come with the Sound Set installer are for the bigger instrument collections and single instruments, which you don't have registered. That's why the cells were red on your computer.

The sound set "VSL Ensemble Special Edition" comes with Sibelius. The Sound Set "VE Special Edition" comes with the VSL Sound Set installer. The "VE Special Edition" version is the later one. So I recommend using this version.

The program "Double Bass Ensemble" is for Orchestral and Chamber Double Basses, the program "Double Bass" is for the Solo Double Bass.
