This weekend I was exploring the new DS library, the sound is very realistic and rich with abundant articulations, congratulations to VSL for the other outstanding product! My question is - why I don´t have polyphonic legato with these patches? And I don´t have polyphonic legato as well with other patches (Apassionata, Orchestral strings SE and various single instruments), so very few libraries now have this feature. I installed the latest version of VI Pro (maybe this version doesn´t support polyphonic legato?). The other question - what about the MIRx for contrabass?, I tried to change position of double basses but it didn´t happen, it´s position is central (for VI, VA, VC it works well). Sure, I can change it the other way but maybe I have some OS bugs? My configuration is Mac Book Pro retina 2.7 RAM 16, OS - ML 10.8.4, SSD 500 G for system and SSD 960 G with Thunderbolt for libraries, Cubase 6.5.5. I made my template with 3 instances of VE Pro (strings, woodwinds, brass - aprox 30 intruments) and VI Pro, it opens fast (very fast comparing with other libraries!) so think this is not the hardware problem. The other feature of VI Pro that I´d like to have is the All Strings matrix for DS - with VI, VA, VC, CB in one keyboard (this one I think can be useful for trying chords and arpegios and playing the tutti sound immediately), or could you suggest any tutorial - how can I make it myself with every detail if it is possible. Sure it is not so hard (VSL soft is basically very logic and usually friendly), but for me as an amateur every change is always very time consumming - every step that I make is always with manual in my hands reading explications to make everything correctly... Some times all day long because of errors or some important details... Thank you!

Hi Viktor,

Updates that include Dimension Basses and also Trumpet in Bb muted are in the pipeline, shouldn´t take long!

Polyphonic Legato: You can activate this feature in VI PRO, in the "Options" tab in Acvanced View (for the whole instance). The reason why it is deactivated with those huge presets is that the voice count multiplies VERY quickly with features like Velocity Xfade, Release Samples for all played notes, and then multiple seperate players for one section...

ALL Strings for Dimension Strings won´t work, I´m afraid, as the slot rack is "limited" with 16 slots per cell.

Best,

Paul

Viktor:  I think you are referring to the same thing I ran into yesterday - you turn on MIRx for the new dimension basses - and NO spatialization.  See if this gets it working:  go to the REVERB tab in ViPro --> click on the 'gear' to the bottom left of the Dry/Wet slider --> change the Latency setting to something (1024).  Now MIRx should work.  It did for me.  HTH

Paul, any ETA on dimension Basses MIRx settings?  At the moment we just have some generic spots.

Best,

Greg

Tomorrow should be the day to update all involved software, if everything works out fine.

Paul
