Logic X with VEP
Hi VSL Community I'm still very new to VEP (still trying out the demo so forgive me if am mentioning the obvious stuff). I'm trying to setup VEP on Mac Pro. I have VEP running in Server mode and have loaded up some plugin instances of East West Instruments. I have assigned each instrument plugin to a different MIDI channel within VEP. I have used the multiport but have read up that Logic X is a bit unstable with this environment layer. So I started from scratch and have created a new multitimbral environment instrument and have cabled this to a multitimbral software instrument. The problem I am having is that only signals sent on MIDI 1 are being sent to VEP. When I select a different instance of the multitimbral software instrument which is assigned to a different MIDI channel it still only sends to MIDI 1. So for example I jump down to the instrument sending to MIDI channel 4, but the Instrument in VEP assigned to MIDI 1 is only being played. I watched and read a couple of different tutorials on how to set this up to check if there's something I'm missing, but everything seems right. If I'm missing something I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks

Hi marnix, Yes the Instrument track is set to All MIDI. Is there anything else I may be missing?

Hi Marnix, Yes, when I add the multitimbral instrument I activate the channels I need. For example I have setup 10 EastWest Instruments in VEP. I have then activated 10 of the channels on the 16-channel multitimbral instrument.

Gary and Ken, I don't mean to solicit work but I help people build templates with Logic Pro X and VE Pro at their studio or via Skype. It is a paid service.
Alternativelty if you like, I will send you a small Logic and VE Pro template with one instance set up properly using Kontakt factory instruments.
