    I am having an odd situation. I am using VEP v5.13151 and Mac OS 10.8.5. In VEP Server I recently changed my default midi ports from 8 to 16. I noticed the available list within each instance was still 8 so I quit and restarted VEP. The list then showed 16 available. However, a bit later I returned to VEP and noticed the list had reverted back to 8 (even though the default preferences still say 16). I repeated this process with the same results. I can't seem to locate the problem or even when the change takes place. Is anyone else having this issue?

    I managed to isolate the problem. The switch back to 8 midi ports happens when I "connect" to the VEP Server plugin within Logic. Perhaps someone knows of a Logic X setting that is causing this. I cannot think of what it might be.

    SOLVED! The midi port default on my host computer was still set to 8. I set it to 16 and problem went away...
