  • Vienna Instruments not appearing in VE Pro 5

Hello all! Sorry if I'm being an absolute dunce, but I've just bought VE Pro 5 which I'm running in 64-bit server mode on a Macbook Pro slave connected via ethernet to my main computer (iMac) running Cubase 7.5. I've got it all working fine when it comes to Kontakt, Omnisphere, etc., but I can't seem to access my Vienna Special Edition Instruments (which happen to be loaded on both my slave and main computer). I've clicked on "Add a new vienna instruments channel" in VE Pro 5, but when the Vienna Instruments box appears, my Special Edition instruments are nowhere to be seen. The VE Pro 5 manual states something about needing to install them separately - but, as I'm sure you're aware, the manual is pretty scanty and unspecific, so I'm a bit confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Matt.

  • Sorry! I think I've figured it out. You need to run the Library Installer, right?!

  • I mean the Directory Manager. Shut up, Matt, shut up! Thanks everyone. Sorry.

  • Yeah man! Just make sure you download the installer! Because I bought the VE Pro 5 just yesterday and I managed to install the Vienna Instruments. Though I would need to ask you a question regarding the Vienna Instruments Pro, Shall I buy them or by the time I am having the VE Pro 5 I don't really have to? I just want to see what the Vienna Instruments Pro has that VE Pro 5 doesn't have! Thanks mate, I hope I helped with your enquiry!
