  • Kontakt Vienna Bussings

    Hi All, I was wondering if anyone else had this problem in VE Pro. I have multiple Kontakt loaded up, with each going to a new midi in channel so that I can have more than 16 instruments in each vienna instance. In one of my instances, there seems to be a bussing problem with stereo channels 14-16. It seems that my stereo outputs 14-16 in kontakt are being received weirdly into the vienna busses. 14 seems to be sending the L channel into vienna 14 and the R channel into vienna 15, and 15 is sending L into 16. It's a little confusing but here is a simple illustration. I've checked the routing in Kontakt to make sure they are fine and even redid the routing by adding 16 new stereo channels and deleting the older ones. Has anyone else run into this issue? If we could manually look at the busses direct routing maybe I could see the problem. I'll probably have to redo the whole template if that can fix it, but finding a fix could save many hours of work. Thanks

    Yeah, assuming these are all stereo busses, a stereo output won't start on an even number.

    Yeah there is: 14, 15, 16; three channels = 1.5 stereo outs.  IE: '14' is normally right channel, it isn't by itself a stereo out. {NB: 1-2, 3-4 ... 13-14, 15-16.}

  • However, each Vienna bus is a stereo pair that is drawn from Kontakt. I guess if you want the actual single channel numbers, it would be 27-28, 29-30, 31-32 for both Kontakt and Vienna. But Vienna seems to be grabbing 27 from Kontakt and bussing it to stereo bus 14 (27-28) and then routing 28 to stereo bus 15 (29-30). So another way of explaining it, is that stereo bus 14 is a dual mono L and stereo bus 15 is a dual mono R. I'm getting the feeling that this is just a template that has become bugged along the way, and I'll probably have to just remake it from scratch.

  • Problem has been fixed with a reinstall of Vienna.
