  • Articulation overview of Vienna Super Package

After owning VSL for 1,5 year I wanted to make some bigger matrix were I would have as many similar articulations at the same key-switches with all instrument groups.

To do that I needed a better overview/comparing of all the articulations.

I haven't found any chart giving an easy overview, so I sat down and did an excel myself.

Just thought it might be useful for others.

    Here you go: https://www.dropbox.com/s/k2lu49ti4qf3rs8/VSL%20Articulation%20Overview%20re-orginize.xlsx

It can be seen online, but is worth opening in Excel since the row D is frozen so when you go through the chart the names of the articulations stays.

It's beautiful to see the consistence of many instruments, but also how some sticks out with extra special features.

The chart might have a few mistakes, if so I'm sorry, but It already served its purpose for me!

  • That's great, thanks for sharing it!

  • Great work !  I intended to de the same for a long time, but I was stopped by this : you use 90% of the time the same 10% of the articulations.

    Stephane.

  • Brilliant! Thanks!

  • Great you found it a bit useful. It's always nice when others gets benefit from your hours. Stephane: I agree, but with a template easier accessible and with a wider range (and also the knowledge of what's available) in articulations, the changes of expanding the 10% get higher I think ;)

  • Absolutely, saxmand.  This is a nice way to put it.
