    I notice that there are 2 settings for viola. Va orch and Va orch strong. What's the difference?

    MIRx offers more than one setting for many Vienna Instruments. These are either alternative positions (e.g. Solo Center / Solo Left), alternative applications (e.g. Solo 1st Chair), or additional Pre-EQ settings (e.g. Agile / Warm / Strong etc.).

    MIRx' Pre-EQ is actually a simplified implementation of MIR Pro's much-lauded Character Presets: While there are at least five, sometimes as many as 10 hand-tuned Character Presets for each Vienna Instrument in MIR Pro, there is only one Pre-EQ setting in MIRx most of the time. In some rare cases I thought that there are two or more very different colors which would both make sense, so I decided to implement all of them.

    "Viola Strong" is one of those. :-) ... just switch back and forth between the different settings, or switch the Pre-EQ off and on to get a feel for its influence on the instrument's sound.
