  • question about connecting multiple computers through vienna ensemble pro

I am thinking of purchasing vienna ensemble pro 5 to connect multiple computers. Currently I have only one Vienna Key to store all my VSL licenses. I would like to know if I need to have multiple Vienna Keys in order to run my VSL libraries on multiple computers connected through Vienna Ensemble Pro. In other words, do I need multiple licensed copies of VSL libraries, vienna softwares, and Vienna Keys if I want to connect multiple computers through Vienna Ensemble Pro ? Do I also need multiple licensed copies of Vienna Ensemble Pro ? I also noticed that VSL offer three serials for my Vienna Instrument Pro. Does that mean it can be used on three computers connected through network with one Vienna Key ? I can't find any info about how to make use of my three VI pro licenses or how to transfer these three license to three different USB keys. By the way, may I transfer or store my VSL license on my Vienna Key to Cubase key ? Please help. Thanks.

  • You need one key for each computer, and a separate license on each key for anything you run. You get three licenses when you buy VE Pro or VI pro.  If you run your instruments on a network, the license for each instrument goes on the key attached to the computer hosting that instrument. You need to buy reverbs for each computer hosting an instrument that uses it, but there are reductions on subsequent purchases of MIR Pro room packs, or you might just do all of your reverbs on one machine.

Cubase and VSL products use the same key. If you plug in multiple keys, you can easily move licenses around using your eLicenser software.
