Hello,
Yesterday I finished my composition using Vienna Dimension Strings, Vienna Suite and Cubase 7 ( composition written before in Sibelius 7.5, and transferred to Cubase later on)

I would like to ask you what need to be made better, and what are my weak points. I want to learn something, so don't worry, criticize, but in constructive way, please :)

this is the link:

thanks in advance!!

On first listen, it sounds harmonically interesting, in a good way, but it's like a series of unconnected ideas. I listen for that because I've received that criticism about my own compositions. I'd like to hear more form and development of ideas. I can't do it well, but the composers I like did.

Hi Sebastian,

This is a surprising piece in many ways. I do like the harmony turns and unusual connections. It certainly has many good ideas and sounds very decent. You did a marvellous job with the articulations, the mixing and rendition.

Thanks for sharing it!

Hey!
Thank for all replies!
It all means for me much. What do you think about reverb, isn't to much of it here? For my taste now I feel, that it's too much of it..

That is a matter of taste and sense of realism. What do you prefer?

Personally, I like the close recording in a rather small ambience, but that doesn't fit fot all genres and styles, nor for all types of orchestras.
